Tonight we had a Christmas cake and fried chicken(not from KFC, but homemade ). It’s one of a stereotyped dinner for Christmas in Japan, especially in a family with small kids. I think most of all the kids really love karaage ( Japanese fried chicken) or teriyaki chicken.
The other day, Momo had the Christmas event at her pre-school, in which they sang songs and got presents from a real ( for kids at least) Santa Claus. That Santa Claus was a western guy from an English school nearby, and he disguised himself with white long beard and Santa’s costume. He was a big guy and his kind of western motions was good enough for kids to belive he was the real Santa. And one kid asked him, “What’s your name?” The guy replied his real name like ‘Christopher something’ in all seriousness!! Oh no! Bullsh**t!! Teachers and parents were stunned at that moment! Kids? maybe some of them might become suspicious but most of them didn’t care so much, Momo neither. Kids can belive anything! That made us relieved and happy!
I hope all of you have wonderful holidays!! Happy merry Christmas!
This video is from today’s weather report. This christmas in Japan is gonna be quite cold!! Take care!
