In autumn, you have clear blue sky and white clouds much higher than summer sky. The wind is so refreshing! I love autumn! It’s the most comfortable season in the year.
Do you have any name for a particular clouds? For example, how do you call the white line in the sky that the airplane left behind? You can call it ‘Hikouki-gumo/airplane clouds’ in Japanese.
How about the clouds in the picture above?
When I found that clouds in the sky, I mumbled ‘Uroko-gumo…’ and Momo asked me what is uroko? (She already knows gumo or kumo means clouds.) I started to explain, “Uroko are on the fish body and something like semi-circular shape(moving my one hand wavy around my body) Your golden fishes also have red uroko on their bodies, you know?” “Ah! Their clothes!” “Yeah, their clothes! See? That clouds look like fish’s clothes?”
Can you figure it out what uroko means? Yes, uroko means “scales”!
