In the Golden week, we went to Kokacity in Shiga where is the historical town of Koga style ninja. The Koga school was one of the famous ninja schools and there ninja were mainly to be trained for the intelligence-gathering mission in Sengoku era(the age of rival warlords).
We visited the ninjutsu village/忍術村where you can learn about history of Koga ninja. You can also wear a ninjya costume! Momo really got into ninja! You see? Her eyes look real ninja’s!!
My kids were SO happy and played until they got exhausted.
This ninja village is very fun for ‘kids’. If you read my post and think you would go there, please think it twice…It might be a little bit boring if you want to learn about ninja seriously. I hate to say but the village is kind of out of date. I have to say they are a little bit lazy to introduce the real ninja culture to the world. I really hope they would keep this unique and distinctive Japanese culture so that people all over the world come and feel its reality.
