I’m 40, so I’d thought the international call was very special and expensive. But this morning, I’d experienced the amazing high tech for the first time in my life!! It’s Skype.
A.D.chan(we met on her site by coincidence)asked me to talk in person with Skype and I answered yes. But to tell the truth, I’d no idea what it was. She sent me the URL of the Skype, and I read it and tried to understand. The procedures was very simple. I just signed up and plugged a microphone to my PC. It costs nothing at all. However, I didn’t understand it completely until I got a call from her in action. When the beep sound from my PC were ringing, I dashed to my fixed-line phone to get it! NO WAY!! I should have just talked with the microphone in front of my PC!
I was so surprised and totally in panic. Fortunately, my husband had been at home yet, and guided to me to my PC. haha. Finally, I could talk with her by Skype! What a wonderful tool we have! I sometimes make the string phone with two paper cups and string for my kids. Even with such a low tech, primitive tool, it’s fun for me to hear their voice from next room. How come could I get her voice across the Pacific ocean and the US land so quickly?!
How is it possible???
I could not talk with her so well because I’ve not progressed my speaking ability so much yet. But it was very nice and exciting conversation. Thank you, A.D., and hope you calling me again.
Have you ever talked with anyone by Skype? How do you use such a high tech device? Please let me know your tips (^^)
