I live in the Japanese small town in the main island.
I am a stay at home mother of two children, one is 8 year old boy, and the other is 5 year old girl.
I make breads or cakes almost everyday, and also like making some handicrafts( knitting and sewing).
I want to improve my writing skill of English, so please help me !
I’m looking forward to having your comment.

Hi there i came across your site from Tokyo5, I hope you dont mind me visiting ^_^ Your children are so beautiful! I hope I will experience in becoming a mother soon too! Life is not complete without a child or two. I think your English is very good.
You’re welcome!
Thank you for visiting!
I saw your site and I know that you like Japanese anime! I was not interested in it so much before, but I have a pretty much time to see it with my kids now. They are now addicted with ‘ケロロ’/Keroro that funny cartoon that frogs try to conquer the human. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sgt._Frog
I hope you come again!
You’re much welcome
Yes i am very much into Japanese anime and thank you for visiting my site, i do hope you enjoy reading what I blog about. Keroro OH MY GOODNESS I love Keroro ..ok 1st time i saw it I did not get it but when I saw a few of its episodes i got hooked by it. I love the theme songs (opening and ending) Keroro is so funny especially his passion for Gundam but my favorites are Giroro and Dororo ^_^ I even bought their keychains hehehe yes i am still a little girl at heart. I’ll definitely come by to your site again so i hope you’ll update regularly ^_^
>1st time i saw it I did not get it but when I saw a few of its episodes i got hooked by it.
Really?!
I think Keroro is full with very Japanese stuffs, isn’t it? I wonder it’s difficult to dub into your language. I’d like to watch it in Englsh!
>I’ll definitely come by to your site again so i hope you’ll update regularly ^_^
Thank you! I’ll update as often as possible!
Do you have Animax over there? I watched Keroro from the Animax channel and its shown in English with Malay subtitle if Im not mistaken
I never watched Keroro dubbed in Malay
which they do show on the local channels, I like watching it with the English seiyu
(is that correct for voice actor in Japanese?)
No, I can’t watch Animax in Japan.
I don’t have so many chance to watch cartoons from abroad. I can see only ‘the Sponge Bob’ now.
I like watching it in English but it’s very difficult!! They talk so fast and basically, the story is nonsense! haha
The other day, I found the episode in which the actor Johnny Depp played a role as a strange surfer!
I mean, Johnny Depp was an seiyu in the Sponge Bob! I’m a BIG fan of him!!!
Oh my gosh!! Seriously Johnny Depp was a seiyu for Sponge Bob i couldnt believe it (shows i never watch Spongebob). I am a BIG fan of Johnny Depp also I LOVE HIM LOVE HIM LOVE HIM since my teen days when he was on 21 Jump Street ..i can go on and on about Johnny Depp. So you dont have Animax channel in Japan? Thats a shame its the only channel that shows Japanese anime in English dubbing …
OMG!
You are a big fan of him?? I became a fan recently, really. I hadn’t had enough time to watch movies after my kids were born, but I resumed watching them these days. The reason is to improve my English at first. However, after I saw the series of the Pirates of Caribbean, he killed me!
So, I haven’t seen all of his works but only 7 or 8. Did you watch “Chocolat”? It’s my favorite of his movies that I saw ever. Do you have any recommendation?
I’m so glad to know we are both big fans of Johnny!!
This is that Sponge Bob from Youtube.
Yes i am glad to know we are both big fans of Johnny. Thanks for sharing that Spongebob cartoon with me. Hmmm I’ve seen so many of his movies and all of them are good in their own ways because he portrays many different characters, he can be serious & deep, he can be funny and kooky like his Capt Jack Sparrow and Mr Willy Wonka characters.
Chocolat is just beautiful to watch him. Edward Scissorhands just makes me want to hug him ..but I LOVE him in Sweeney Todd : The Demon Barber because its the second movie Ive seen him sing ..the first one was Cry Baby, VERY CUTE Johnny Depp there. The first movie I saw him was Nightmare on Elm Street (but it didnt last long) I also liked his portrayal in Finding Neverland. Now i heard he will be in Alice in Wonderland movie as the Madhatter and i know he will act that character very well!!
“Sweeney Todd” !! Yes, I have been longing to see it, but seriously, I hate horror movies, so I always pick it up at the rental movies shop, think twice and put it back to the shelf… OK! I will try it next time!!
I’ve watched “Finding Neverland”, too. It’s a beautiful movie. In that film, he portrays a jentleman. He looks very nice but I love rather dirty Johnny! hahaha! So, I can’t wait for his new film “Public Enemies”. It will be released on next January in Japan! TOO long…
Also, I will definitely watch ” Alice in Wonderland” .
I love your site. Keep it up !
Thank you for your comment!
My favorite Johnny Depp movie is, “The Ninth Gate”. He is a very dark, brooding character.
Yeah! I love his dark and cool acting. ( I also love his Wonka, too!! haha)
I feel for your struggle raising two kids. I have a daughter whose 22 months and a son who’ll be a year old on wednesday. Yeah, they’re 10 months apart. Irish luck really. I wanted one and got two back to back! So the whole wanting to pull your thing a can relate to. I never sleep.
I can’t wait until kindergarden.
youre kids are so cute! bless them.
i just came across your blog. 偶然ですけど。
Thanks!

Hi, Raoko,
My name is 陳桂森。My parents called me “Moli” when I was small. In the world of English language, I name myself “Morris”.
I am a loyal reader of Doug McLean’s blog. From his blog post I know you also publish your blog in English for the purpose of having a space to put English writing into practice. This is what I am doing as well. So I have come to your blog page to leave this message to say hello.
Regards,
Morris
Hi Morris,
Nice to meet you, and thank you for leaving your comment.
I knew the guy from China who had the same name as you 陳, and I called him ‘Chin-san’, is it correct?
Feel free to visit here and talk together!!
Ohayo, Naoko-san,
Yeah, that’s right “Chin-san”. Or “Moli-san” when you need to distinguish that Chin-san in China from this Chin-san in NZ.
I started learning English when I was 12, that means I have spent 46 years learning my second language but still struggle to express my idea or thoughts fully.
Regards,
Moli-san
I love your website ! I found it through a link on lunchinabox.net I love to pack Bento lunches for my son. It started as a great way to get a picky eater to eat, now its more of a way to show him I care about him. Your children are adorable !! I am going to explore your site more, and hope you have some recipes for the delicious foods you talk about. I love hearing about every day life in other countries – I visited Japan twice and I love the food, culture, people, everything. Don’t think the details of it are boring, its all interesting !! By the way – I have banned Spnge Bob in my house – its just pure nonsense.
Hi Diana,
Thank you for your visiting!
You visited Japan twice! Where?
How old is your son?
My kids went for a kind of picnic to the nearby park with Bento that they packed by themselves on last Sunday.(Yes, very simple Bento, of course.) They were so excited about what they did. Packing a lunch makes you happy!
Speaking of Sponge Bob, yeah, it’s so rediculous and might be bad for kids. But I think it’s less harmful than Pokemon. My kids don’t watch Pokemon so much, but some kids are addictive to it. I worry the cartoon of these days are full of wickedness or sometimes violence? I remember they had more simpler and better stories in my childhood.
My first visit to Japan was to Tokyo and Nikke (not sure of the spelling). My second visit – I had a chance to go to Kyoto – and I loved it ! I saw a demonstration of pottery that was so interesting to me. I loved the way that all of the “old fashioned” cultural things were being preserved.
We have many educational cartoons here, on TV stations known as “public broadcasting stations” that are much better, but geared towards younger children. My son is starting to get bored with some of those. He just turned 4, and goes to preschool 5 days a week now. He’s actually in a program for 3 year olds becuase he was a preemie and has had some medical problems.
I love your site, and I am enjoying exploring it !
Diana
Maybe you visited Nikko near Tokyo and there is the one of the most famous and old temple in Japan, right? I’ve never been there! hahaha.
About your son, it’s good for your son to be in a program for 3 ( I never mean to offend you.) because each kids has their own pace to grow up and I don’t think it’s good to make them rush to achieve something. I imagine you might be a person with a big heart since you could make bento with your care to your sweet boy. I didn’t do anything special but did everything just normal! I had no time or could not hear myself talk while my kids were younger. Maybe, I must have been too serious. I should have been relaxed. Your motherhood is great!
No offense – I’m glad for another mother’s advice ! I made the decision, but still second guess myself. For me, making a bento at all is something special, even if the bento is plain. Mostkids in the USA just bring a sandwich, piece of fruit, bag of chips and a drink. My son’s preschool teacher once said “If there was a prize for best lunch, your son would win”. It made me feel great !!
It was Nikko !! I took the train, it was a lot of fun. The temples were beautiful, and the whole place was full of school children, all of whom wanted to practice their English.
I think your children are incredibly kawaii! ^^ They all look very happy with you! I love your website as well.
Hi areksu,
Are you in Japan? Areksu means Alex?
Thank you for your kind words. Come and talk together again!
Thank you, Mugami-san.
Your opinion gives me strength.
I can understand English as a language. I can read and write as enough to give and take the informations. However, I don’t want to quit learning at this point. For example, I want to understand their jokes, their sarcasms, their lies….You might hear that I’m too humble, yes, it’s the way of being the Japanese and it might be wrong( as far as among the English speakers).
I still feel that I don’t have enough ability to communicate with natives as an adult. I never underestimate myself. I enjoy learning English.
Your comment made me think a lot, thank you.
I started watching “Veronica Mars” these days.
TV dorama is so difficult to follow the dialogue, particularly the hero/heroine are young.
The favorite actoress..I don’t know many, but I like Cate Blanchett. She is not American, though.
