I heard this news..”The research said that the cars could run only 9 km/hour when people tried to escape from the huge tunami hit Japan in March. It’s caused by the traffic jam. 9km/hour is as slow as you jog. Also about the distance people drove their car, 40% of the drivers drove for under 1km or so. ”
These kind of research makes me think. How could you run with two or three toddlers? the elders? the disable person? Or should you use a car even though you know it’s a bad idea? You leave them, run by yourself and then may live with deep regret all of the rest of your life? My thought goes around and around. You never know what happened before it happens.
So, only I could tell my kids, “Run by walk to the higher place! Think and take an action by yourself! and Survive! Your mom and daddy will do the same thing and we will meet again.”
Big kids who can run should do so. I would look for things that would help me carry toddlers like a wheelbarrow or a bike that they could sit on while I pushed it. It would be hard for me to leave kids behind.
Me too. My kids are 7 and 11. I’m really worried what if it happens while they are at school or while we are separate. In Tohoku area of Japan, where the huge tunami hit this march, there are words that “Each one should focus to save their own life, Believe your family would try the same thing and be fine..” Because many people could die trying to go back home or go to school to help their family. But it’s not supposed to do so to moms of little kids. I believe many moms in Tohoku died with kids because there was nothing to do but stay jwith kids..
Thanks anyway for your comment, Mary!
