I’ve been searching a new wallet for me on the net these days. I like cute and pop design like Orla Kiely. Japanese Yen is strong now so it’s a big chance for me to buy one cheaper!!
But while I was watching some you tube movies promoting wallets I liked, I found one thing. That is, these wallets made in UK or USA don’t have a big pocket for coins. I know they don’t carry coins. But I do!!! I still pay daily supply and train tickets with coins not a card! I’ve never used a credit card at a convenience store ever. The nearest super market doesn’t accept a credit card! I don’t know if I can use a credit card at doctors. I’ve never seen someone pays with a card. Have you? I’m always scared at the accounting counter at a doctor when I got a medical inspection wondering if I have enough cash.
My paying style won’t be changed at least one more decade. So I need a wallet with a big coin purse!
円高だから海外からネットで買ったらお得かな?なんて思いつつ財布を物色するここ数日。。。イギリスの可愛い財布が気に入りましたが
小銭入れがどれも使いにくそうで容量も小さい。
カード社会だからか??
Oh, I’ve always found I like the coin purses in wallets back home better. I love the design of my Dakota wallets, but I don’t like the zipper, I think that it is because coins are so heavy that they often go through the stitching after a while, so I like the heavy metal clips. I’ve never noticed a size difference! I will look the next time I am wallet shopping in Canada.
I love Dakota, too! It’s very popular and easy to get around here. I might buy one of Dakota if I couln’t find any cute pop wallet. Becuase, eventually its simpleness of Dakota wallets make me feel comfortable. I’m just looking for something like inspiring now.
I’ve been having one of folding type. But I’ve heard that “Money doesn’t like to be folded, so it won’t stay long in a folding wallet.” It’s FUSUI / 風水 idea. I’m not a person who believes in any supernatural power, but when it comes to about money, I become a believer! haha. I don’t want to have a yellow wallet.(it’s also fusui idea that money loves the yellow.) but I will have one might be loved by money next time!!!
BTW, I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but it’s gone!! I don’t know how to comment on your site. Maybe I missed something. I will try again!! Sorry!!
hi ai
hope all is well for you…i tried to go to your blogsite a number of times and can never go through ..
Oh I do love the designs but my goodness the price tag!! What you need Naoko are those lovely coin wallets that I see used alot by waiters/waitresses at restaurants/bars/cafes in Germany…i love those as I tend to collect alot of coins too. My doctor doesn’t accept credit cards at his clinic but he does give me a bill that I would bring to the hospital cashier counter where i would settle his bill then give him a copy of the receipt so he could claim it through the finance dept of the hospital ..a bit tiresome but thats how it goes…
Hi, I just found your blog. First of all, I want to thank you for blogging in English. You do a wonderful job. I am Malaysian Chinese but am so interested in Japan thanks to watching and reading lots of animes and manga. Thanks to this hobby, I started understanding more and more of the Japanese culture and language.
I have been searching for an english blog by a Japanese person for a long time. Keep up the good work:) I will be following this blog from now on.
